Everything written in the application, coached one-on-one. Up to fifteen schools.

Five 60-minute video sessions plus unlimited document exchange by email. Andrea starts with college application strategy (which schools, which essays, what order) and a résumé (your child's teachers will want it for recommendation letters anyway), then runs the essay process for the Common App and every supplement on the list: topic brainstorm, outline, drafts, comments, edits. It ends with two hours of college interview practice and honest notes. UC and USC count as two schools each. Extra schools are available à la carte.

College essay editing at two levels. Commenting covers content and structure: what works, what is missing, what to cut, and why. Editing covers language, style and grammar on a draft the student has already revised. Most families do both, in that order. Works for the Common App personal statement, UC Personal Insight Questions, supplements, and graduate school statements of purpose.

Graduate school admissions consulting for the written part of the application: MBA essays, law school personal statements, medical school personal statements and secondaries, and statements of purpose for master's and PhD programs. Committees want fit and direction, not a résumé rewritten as paragraphs. Andrea helps applicants connect their background, their work and their goals into a statement that reads like a plan. Since 2015 Andrea has handled the writing component for consulting companies in the U.S. and Asia, reviewing and editing thousands of essays a year on their behalf. Pick a level per student: a one-time language and style edit, content comments before edits, or full coaching from brainstorm to final draft. You keep the client relationship. She keeps the 72-hour turnaround.
